alana headshot 2Past projects include directing, writing and performing Beginner at Life; directing, writing, and producing Fear&Desire; directing, writing and producing readings of White Fire/Black Fire; founding editor of THE MOM EGG; producing and asst. editing the narrative documentary, The Last Stand; producing poetry events for The Mom Egg; presenting Presence, Paradox, and Process; Nurturing our Art, Nurturing our Children; and Jewish­Buddhist Spiritual Mothering at the Association for Research on Motherhood conferences York University, Canada and Motherhood Studies Conferences in New York City; performing monologues with Bowery Women at the Bowery Poetry Club and poetry for the MOM EGG; publishing personal essays in Neshama, Thelohasian.com, and ducts.org; writing midrash; leading on­going workshops; studying Early Developmental Movement and Yoga ® /Body­Mind Centering ®, 5 Rhythms ®, as well as dream analysis, dance, voice, acting, directing and meditation. Alana has studied with Marion Woodman, Larry Moss, Patsy Rodenburg, Andrea Haring, Seth Barrish, Gabrielle Roth, Charles Salzberg, Karen Hartman, Gretchen Cryer, Barbara Kahn, DB Gilles, Bob Holman, Ann Waldman, Alicia Ostriker, Anna Ivara, and other talented poets, scholars, and healers. Alana is completing a masters in Creative Writing (Bar Ilan University), holds a masters degree in Jewish Studies (Touro College) and earned a  business degree from Western University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar finalist.
